Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Single-Disc Edition) Specifications

Pure. Popcorn. Entertainment. That's an exact classification of director Michael Bay's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Think of Transformers 1 on crack. In other words, this sequel took all of the extreme elements that made fans love the first movie and increased them exponentially. The action is nonstop, with battles and explosions from start to finish. The camera (without any subtlety) exploits Megan Fox's hotness to the max. As if she weren't enough, a new sex kitten (Isabel Lucas) is thrown into the equation. Shia LaBeouf is as charismatic as ever, and fills the starring role with ease. And then there's the humor. Sam's parents (Kevin Dunn and Julie White)provided some semi-raunchy laugh-out-loud moments in the first movie, but now they take it to the next level. Sometimes it seems like they are trying a little too hard, but it is still hilarious.

As far as the “plot” goes, the writers didn't waste much time--it's really just a context for the giant-robot death matches and dramatic slow-mo sequences. The movie kicks off two years later where the Autobots have formed an alliance with the U.S. government, creating an elite team led by Major Lennox (Josh Duhamel), in an effort to snuff out any remaining Decepticons that show up. The bad guys keep coming, and it turns out that a much more menacing force than Megatron is out there--and it is looking for something on Earth that is tied to the very origin of the Transformers race. Fans of the franchise will be delighted by the addition of many new robot characters (there are well over 40 in the sequel, versus only 13 in the first). The second Transformers has shaped up to be one of the worst reviewed and most successful movies of all time. This strange pairing is really just an indication that this movie has one purpose: to entertain. The creators didn't want to waste time bogging down the action and drama with substance--which was arguably a good decision. --Jordan Thompson

Transformers "revenge" - K. Can - PA
The film relies heavily on special effects and the sex appeal of Transformers by Megan Fox. My kids love Transformers and with regard to children's films ... It's fun ... PG13.

Oh, for the love of Pete! - R. Goldberg - Fern Park, FL USA
Pardon this departure. There are plenty of poignant observations of the film that my ring is empty. In short, I enjoyed this silly, overproduced, over the limit and sometimes beyond the confines of the film. I liked the same way that I enjoyed Matthew Broderick version of "Godzilla" - nothing stood in the way of doing the right thing, whatever it was. I found the first, despite the thin story, very nice, and effect settings to some of the most beautiful I'I have ever seen. I set a "display 37 Sam's Club, having had no intention of seeing" Transformers, "with tears in his eyes for the lyrical beauty and depth of visual effects." Revenge of the Fallen "is a film minor, in this respect: the treatment has been hectic, sometimes I do not really have the opportunity to study the beauty of the shots (think so), that slo-mo for themselves. But was a good film, and turn burlesque John Turturro, was worth the ticket price, especially ifHe knew that his interp Pacino-esque in the first film. Suffice it to say, I found it amusing romp with plenty of room for popcorn.

What I can not understand this subculture auditors take the ecstatic joy that seems to rip a film to shreds. I see all the time with Shyamalan movies, I always liked for their metaphorical content and soft seal. Roger Ebert has described the effects in "The Last Airbender" abominable. "What an outrageous statement, were revolutionary andgorgeous. An article in the journal Computer Graphics World has been described in which, as things were done mindblowing, but before I found work with the elements to be beautiful, convincing, correct stylized, lyrical and visually exciting. But everything has to do Night Shyamalan is making a movie and people are lined up around the block parade their critical skills and courage of the meeting, lambasting a hair of his life.

We all have our opinions, of course, justified, andThis forum is to share the opportunity to offer them. But when I put in the vicinity of the industrial revolution, energy, painful task of the film, which is, after all, just a fun, popcorn, I am confused to say the least. This is a Michael Bay! If now I do not know what that means, do more research! :) 'S like people care, the horrible "Doctor" Laura Schlessinger in a time of great emotional need called and expected to get skinned alive. For a while 'I was sorryfor them, but that went away. They knew who and what was first called, after all. If you're going to see (much less buy) "Revenge of the Fallen, make some exaggerated action that may save only subtle characterization, and not only think of a good time - even if they laugh at you in your time a film Fanny which refer not to. But it is not cholera, people!
